ARCHITECTURAL ACCESSIBILITY

TICKET OFFICES

The ticket offices of the Museum are located in the building of the Podkarpackie Heritage Center, hereinafter referred to as "Manezh", 10 3 Maja Street.

The entrance to the building is located at ground level, only the door has a low threshold. There is a marked, adapted toilet in the building.

The area in front of the Manezh is paved with granite pavers, this can be an impediment to movement. The gate of the Manezh is located opposite the gate leading to the Park. Between the gates there is a street and a pedestrian crossing. Museum entrance tickets can also be purchased online https://bilety.zamek-lancut.pl/

PARKING

The Museum does not have its own parking spaces.

There are designated free parking zones for people with disabilities in the immediate vicinity of the Ticket Offices and the Park.

Due to the vast area of the Palace and Park Complex and the location of the exhibitions, people in wheelchairs are allowed access to the complex and a free driveway as close as possible to the entrances to the exhibitions. At the stage of planning a visit to the Museum, please notify us of such a need. By phone 17 225 20 08 or by email at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

PARK

The area of the Park is accessible to all people. Access to the Castle leads through paved alleys. The alleys have drains running across them, i.e. water drains, which may make it slightly difficult for a person in a wheelchair, for example, to get around.

There is a fee to enter the Castle Park. There is a ticket machine in the Park, in the main alley leading to the Castle, before the main bridge - it is possible to pay by card or cash.

EVACUATION

There is no radio broadcasting system in the museum exhibitions area. The guardians of the expositions equipped with radio telephones, providing direct communication with the Museum headquarters, will inform about possible dangers or to communicate important messages (e.g. evacuation). This communication works both ways, e.g. to call for medical assistance to the Visitor.

VISITING

It is possible to visit the museum exhibitions with a guide dog. A person with an assistance dog has the right to enter all exhibitions on the condition that he/she presents a certificate confirming the status of the assistance dog, a current document confirming veterinary vaccinations. The dog must be equipped with a harness. The dog's owner is responsible for the dog's behavior and damage caused by the dog.

There is a pre-guide written in plain language available on the Museum's website.

The exhibitions of the Museum-Castle in Lancut can be visited in PJM as part of a standard guided tour - upon prior reservation. Visitors to the Institution may also obtain assistance and information in PJM upon prior request.

CASTLE

There is one entrance to the building, the so-called main entrance. There is one step in front of the door. Access is possible through a ramp with a 6% slope. A Museum employee is on permanent duty at the door. The checkroom is located inside the building on the first floor, with three steps leading to it.

Facilities for people with physical disabilities

Wide staircases lead to the exposition of the first floor and second floor of the building. Communication between floors for people in wheelchairs is carried out using 2 caterpillar staircases [PTR 160 by SANO], which may be an inconvenience in the case of larger groups in wheelchairs. In such a situation, please contact the Museum in advance and provide us with such information. In case of need, the Museum, the castle interior exhibition also has two VCWK42L type wheelchairs. There is no passenger elevator at the Castle.

The corridors and passageways in the first floor interior exposition are about 1.5 meters wide to allow movement with a commodore. On the tour route, in areas of difficult accessibility, an alternative passage has been designated, without loss of the interiors visited. Museum staff will assist in walking or climbing the steps.

The entire exhibition is accessible.

The second floor is not accessible to wheelchair users, and some of the interiors also have organic accessibility (including passages that are too narrow). The museum provides virtual tours of this exhibition on its website. https://old.zamek-lancut.pl/digitalizacja/wirtualsp/Lancut.html

The Roman Baths located in the basement of the Castle are an inaccessible exhibition for wheelchair users. Work is underway to provide alternative access.

There is an adapted toilet on the first floor of the Castle.

Due to the historic nature of the interiors, it is not possible to move around in electric wheelchairs. It is possible to use orthopedic wheelchairs provided by the Museum. People in electric wheelchairs can visit the interior of the Castle Vestibule.

Facilities for the deaf and visually impaired

A stationary audioguide system is available. Selected castle collections are available through sensory tours.

A tour of the first-floor exhibition in PJM is available on the Museum's website and on Deaf.TV.

Access to the Dressage Room is via park alleys, towards the tennis courts and the Orchid House and the gate leading to the Stables and Carriage House area.

From the fork, the alley leads directly to the door of the building. In front of the door is a bench where you can rest and wait for the tour. At the door, inside the building, a museum employee is on permanent duty.
